Support Analyst Developer – GLOSS, SWIFT, Reconciliations - Permanent - London

My Client is an investment bank based in London. They are looking for a permanent Support Analyst Developer supporting a range of systems primarily, but not solely, for users in the Operations department. The role comprises analysis, support, maintenance and interfacing of the third-party applications and enhancements and support of in-house developed Windows applications. They will drive improvements to support and implementation / upgrade projects, creating more efficient behaviours and processes.

Responsibilities:

Functional and technical support:

Analyst of a number of key production systems in the Trade Ops including:

· Post-Trade lifecycle application (GLOSS)

· SWIFT

· External and Internal reconciliations – both in-house and 3rd party (SmartStream TLM)

· Regulatory Report System – Message Automation

· Managing third party platforms and portals: Euroclear Easyway

· Cash Management / Intraday Liquidity Management (Smartstream Cash Management).

· Other internal applications as required.

Maintenance Technician:

· Perform upgrades of the above vendor products.

· Minor enhancement and software fixes of the supported systems and in-house supported Windows applications.

· Tracking of issues for reporting to management and users.

· Application development up to and including releases to Live, using appropriate standards and procedures. Primarily for interfacing, reporting and job scheduling functions..

Key skills:

· Support analyst, with track record of business and technical support within Trade Operations and Compliance business functions, with a good understanding of trading through to settlement operations

· Proven experience in reconciliation applications, SWIFT and Post Trade lifecycle application (ideally GLOSS).

· Proven experience in Windows and Linux

· Experience of developing in Java/web/relational databases and Sybase

· Ability to write ad-hoc T-SQL to analyse data issues and provide data extracts.

· Competent in JAVA

· RDBMS competency covering database schema and design, SQL queries, writing and maintaining stored procedures, performance analysis & tuning

· Experience translating client requirements into a solution design, data integration and migration.

· Experience analysing defect cause and effect and detailing and documenting solutions.
