KEN CAMP

Managing Director

​

Ken has spent a large part of his career leading the back-office IT functions of major international Investments Banks. He has been responsible for the strategic development and support of Operations and Finance technology platforms with UK, European and global reach, including implementation of some of the industry’s major packaged systems (e.g. Gloss, Fidessa). He has also worked in Retail Banking, addressing a wide range of business requirements including card processing systems.

 

Ken has been in the Recruitment business for the last 15 years and the breadth and depth of this experience has given Scot Lewis Associates a real edge in helping clients define and position the role and in vetting candidates for technical competence and fit with the client environment.

 

Ken , being the eldest of eight children, father of three, and grandfather of five is a very family oriented individual who prides himself on good family values. Outside of work Ken is a keen golfer and is an avid follower of Manchester City FC.

RYAN CAMP

Recruitment Director

Ryan joined Scot Lewis Associates in 2010 to manage the growing recruitment needs for various Financial Services clients. He has an extensive network in the Investment Banking IT market, creating long term partnerships and enhancing the Scot Lewis brand. Ryan has played a crucial role in growing the business and expanding into new markets whilst maintaining the key values of the company.

 

Ryan oversees the day to day operational running of Scot Lewis whilst staying hands on with recruitment. With over 18 years’ experience recruiting Technology professionals, he has become the go-to person in the Post-trade IT market. Ryan has built his valuable network from referrals and personal recommendations, enabling a high level of service to his candidates and clients.  

 

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, son and twins. He loves to travel the world and experience different cultures.

MERVYN STOVELL

Partner

Merv is an accomplished Technology Manager with 40 years of first-hand experience. His early career was in manufacturing and commercial software, then into Retail Banking and for the last 20 plus years, Investment Banking where he specialised in Post-trade solutions.

His roles have comprised of both transformational and operational functions and include Head of Operations Technology for two leading investment banks and Programme Director for a major technology transformation for another.

 

Merv joined Scot Lewis Associates in 2016 where he’s been able to utilise his decades of first-hand knowledge of technology delivery which he has acquired from his early days as a Developer / Analyst through to his senior leadership roles at top-tier firms.

 

When not at work, Merv and his wife like to pursue their lifelong interest in wildlife and spend time with the family including their daughter and granddaughter. Merv's also a keen golfer.

DARREN HURDLE

Partner

Darren is a senior recruiter with a wealth of knowledge across a broad spectrum of technologies and markets who in more recent years has focused on DevOps, DevSecOps, Security and Splunk within Consultancy, Investment Banking and Energy sectors. Having spent 10 years as an investment banker and 22 years in recruitment Darren comes with a depth of business, technology and recruitment experience. Darren joined Scot Lewis in 2016 to further develop the Technology Division. 

 

Darren brings with him a real understanding of the markets in which he operates and the people in those markets. Darren has built teams for everyone from investment banks and global energy companies to <100 people start ups. He has a network of senior technologists, CTOs and hiring managers which enable him to be effective across all areas of technology recruitment. Darren partners with his clients to really understand and exceed their expectations and deliver.

 

Outside of work, Darren is a sociable husband and father of two boys who spends a great deal of time with his extended family.

DAN EASTERBROOK

Partner

Dan is an experienced technology recruiter with a strong focus on software development. Throughout his recruitment career, which began in 2006, he has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of businesses and helped them secure the best talent available, whether that be a large team of contract resources or the perfect permanent fit for a growing start up. Dan joined Scot Lewis in 2022 to further develop the already successful Technology Division.

 

Dan brings with him a personal approach where he gets to the root of a business’s needs and offers the appropriate solution. His breadth of experience means that he is able to offer an excellent insight into both the candidate and client market for all of his customers. He has had the benefit of working for various firms both large and small and favours the direct and personal service he is able to offer. Dan’s MO is simple and is based on transparency, honesty and trust.

 

Outside of work, Dan is very family orientated and recently relocated to the South of England after 18 years in the North West to be closer to both his and his wife’s families. He spends much of his time with his wife, two children and two dogs.

PAUL WAINRIGHT

Partner & Managing Consultant

Paul has 10 years' Technology recruitment experience and during that time has worked exclusively with companies operating within the secure Government space, helping some of the World's largest Defence companies and technology consultancies source and attract security cleared IT professionals.

 

He fully understands the challenges that business's face within this competitive sector and his knowledge of the market is second to none. He is incredibly proud of the reputation he has built with both customers and candidates alike, offering a personable and professional service to both.

 

Paul has a strong understanding of all areas of IT including Infrastructure, Cloud, Data Science, AI/ML, Business Change and Cyber security, but the majority of his time and his true strengths are within Software Engineering, Test Automation and DevOps/Platform Engineering.

 

Outside of work, Paul lives with his partner, their 2 boys and their Beagle, Dexter. The family enjoy the outdoors, trips to North Wales and Paul is a keen Hill/Mountain walker.

TOM ROWLANDS

Senior Consultant

Tom has 7 years of technology recruitment experience, the last 5 of which he's spent working exclusively in the secure government space, helping some of the UK’s leading defence companies’ source and attract security cleared IT Professionals.

 

Tom has a strong understating of all areas of IT recruitment, with solid experience recruiting for DevOps / Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, Data Science & Test Automation roles, however, his primary focus & expertise is within Software Development.

 

Outside of work, Tom can be found traveling the country watching Manchester United (for all his sins) he also enjoys traveling and wants to visit every country in Europe before he’s 40.
